The Children’s Coalition for the Bayou Region is a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit    organization serving families and children in the parishes of Terrebonne, Lafourche    and Assumption. Established in March 2000, the Children’s Coalition enjoys the    membership of over 100 agencies/organizations, represented by over 150 individuals,    and serves more than 200,000 people living in these three parishes.

The primary goal of the Children’s Coalition is to act as a community organizer,    bringing together service providing agencies and organizations. The purpose is to    enable them to exchange ideas, identify gaps in services and find ways to partner in    order to bring needed programs to our children and families. Through encouragement,    assistance and support from the Children’s Coalition, multiple grants have been    awarded to this tri-parish area.

The Children’s Coalition is an advocacy group, determined to speak out on behalf of
all children. It is our wish that every child should be healthy, educated and nurtured,    and it is our mission to enable our communities to do so.

The Children’s Coalition for the Bayou Region takes seriously all calls of inquiry.    Recognizing that families are sometimes challenged by situations beyond their    means, the Children’s Coalition acts as a “warm line” offering suggestions and    linkages to service providing agencies.

The Children’s Coalition for the Bayou Region is located in beautiful downtown
Houma, Louisiana. Our office is open Monday thru Friday, 8:30-5:00, and we can
   be reached at 985-872-1880.
