    Chrildren’s Coalition Partnerships

The value of a true coalition is to introduce to people the concept of partnerships and collaboration. This creates a winning connection for innovative programs and the funding dollars to secure them. The Children’s Coalition for the Bayou Region has been pivotal in the procurement of several grants to enhance the lives of children as well as childcare providers.

Compassion Capital Fund (CCF) The Communities Empowering Youth (CEY) program under the CCF builds the capacity of faith-based and community coalitions that work to reduce gang involvement and youth violence and to foster positive youth development.

Project Northland is a research based, drug-prevention model program that has been implemented in collaboration with our faith-based community. It is a three-year series, designed to catch kids in the 6th grade to introduce the concept, then again in the 7th grade to support what they learned, and finally in the 8th grade to encourage them as they continue their journey through their teenage years, drug and alcohol free.

We are pleased to have received funding from the Office for Addictive Disorders to provide outstanding prevention model programs.
